My Partner Chooses Me Every Day

Polyamorous Moment

My life partner is dating.

And as he is experiencing different women, he's appreciative of me. (Not that he wasn't before. But comparison can happen)
And it shows how much more secure I have become within myself, as a partner, and within my partnership.
Because I'm not jealous of what other women can offer (whether it is what I can or can't).
I'm not fearful of losing him.
As I know the value I hold within our relationship.
I've worked hard to be able to add to it. To be proud of who I am as a partner. (Especially through the polyamorous aspects of our journey. Whew!)

There's all this cultural phenomenon around how to "keep" a man.

But my life partner has the freedom to connect with other women and he STILL chooses me each and every day.

Because of who I am as a person, as a woman, as a partner, as a wife.
And I've worked hard to be worthy of his choice. (Love is unconditional. Relationships are very conditional.)
And while each woman offers a different connection for him that cannot be compared to ours.

I'm glad I have grown in that area and I'm not insecure in that anymore.

I also admit my weaknesses and our incompatibilities. So yes, go find someone who can fulfill you in ways that I can't.

But it's a beautiful moment to realize, I am a good wife. I am a good life partner. I am a good woman. I am a good person.

As well as the uniqueness I hold.

I like who I am. And he likes it too.

So I'll be here when he gets home.

And neither of us are going anywhere.

(I'm not currently dating at the moment. But I am practicing approaching women )
