Learning How to Approach

Polyamorous Moment
I'm not dating, I'm practicing.
And I'm wondering if anyone else does this.
So my goal this year isn't to exchange contact, but to just practice approaching women in person. (Specifically women I am attracted to)
Just starting a conversation.
The no destination relieves the pressure so I can just enjoy the process.
And in that process, I am learning how to read body language, how to analyze the flow of the conversation, how to read her responses, etc.
And I am learning a lot!
I'm also growing in my confidence in the way I look, in my ability to have a conversation (it's not so scary), and honestly my game lol. I'm learning how to flirt.
Now sure, we live in a society that expects men to approach so they do have a lot of practice. But is there intentionality behind it? Is there learning and growing behind it?
I want to be a good dater. So I am learning how to be. And it's actually a pretty fun process.
I'm also realizing not everyone is a good datee. Not everyone knows how to keep a conversation flowing. (Or is reciprocal in planning dates)
Whereas I actually Googled:
How to Start a Conversation
How to Keep a Conversation Flowing
How to End a Conversation
And that was all when I had to relearn how to make friends as an adult.
And I'm now very aware of the type of quality time of each person.
I wonder what would happen if we were more intentional about how we connect with others.
