Music Playlist for Kids

As a Black American, the educational songs for kids have gotten A LOT better than when I was growing up. And that's thanks to Black Americans creating music for kids. That said, HUGE thanks to Gracie's Corner, Joolz TV, and Doggyland. With beats so hard, my husband and I were dancing to the songs before our daughter was even conceived lol.

These new songs make it exciting as parents to sing along with our kids as well as incorporating newer parenting philosphies of emotional intelligence and cultural representation.

So here is the playlist I created for my daugher. I started song by song, starting with the Swahili lullaby from the movie Mighty Joe Young that I committed to learning as a teenager so I could sing to my children. My daughter began having favorite songs that we added to the playlist. We have songs that are Guyanese and Black American for her cultures.

But as far as learning, my daughter is an auditory learner. Been musical since the womb. So with cloth ABC flashcards starting at 6 months old, I used the songs to educate my daughter.

I did create a Preschool Homeschool Curriculum using other educational toys while centering the Heritage Months and Seasonal Holidays. As well as organized worksheets for Preschool Arts and Crafts.

Here is the educational music playlist for toddlers - preschoolers - elementary.
